Using the AI Assistant
Open the chat
Section titled “Open the chat”- Click the teal floating button in the bottom-right corner of any page
- Or press Cmd+Shift+A (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+A (Windows/Linux)
The chat panel opens with a welcome message and suggestion chips:
- “Show my pipeline summary”
- “Find contacts added this week”
- “What are my upcoming activities?”
Click a chip or type your own question.
Chat basics
Section titled “Chat basics”- Type your message and press Enter to send
- Press Shift+Enter for a new line
- The AI responds with formatted text (supports markdown)
- The chat keeps context from your conversation
Context awareness
Section titled “Context awareness”The AI knows which page you’re on:
- On a contact page → it can answer questions about that specific contact
- On the deals page → it can summarize your pipeline
- On the dashboard → it can analyze your stats
A context banner at the top shows “Viewing: [Entity Name]” when you’re on an entity page.
Read operations
Section titled “Read operations”Ask the AI to look up information — these happen instantly:
- “Find all contacts at Lunar Roast Coffee”
- “What’s the value of the Space Station Supply deal?”
- “Show me all overdue activities”
- “How many deals are in the Proposal stage?”
- “What are my dashboard stats?”
Write operations
Section titled “Write operations”Ask the AI to make changes — these require your confirmation:
- “Create a contact: John Smith, john@example.com”
- “Add a note to Luna Brewster: Discussed pricing in last call”
- “Log a call with Rex Capitalus about the investment platform”
- “Tag the Nimbus deal as High Value”
Confirmation flow
Section titled “Confirmation flow”When the AI proposes changes:
- A Proposed Changes card appears in the chat with a list of actions
- Review the proposed changes
- Click Apply Changes to execute them, or Cancel to discard
Changes are only saved after you explicitly approve them. The AI cannot modify your data without your consent.
Managing conversations
Section titled “Managing conversations”Switch conversations
Section titled “Switch conversations”Click the conversation dropdown in the panel header to switch between past conversations.
Start a new conversation
Section titled “Start a new conversation”Click the + button in the panel header. This starts a fresh conversation with no prior context.
Delete a conversation
Section titled “Delete a conversation”Click the trash icon in the panel header to delete the current conversation.
Mobile
Section titled “Mobile”On mobile devices (screen width 640px or less):
- The chat opens as a full-screen overlay with a slide-up animation
- Swipe down to close the panel
- All features work the same as desktop
- Be specific — “Show me deals closing this month over $50k” works better than “show me deals”
- Use it for quick lookups — faster than navigating through list views
- Propose changes in bulk — “Create three contacts: …” works in a single message
- The AI respects your permissions — it can only see and modify data your role allows
